More about Piper

on

Not only does Piper love to twist balloons, she is a bilingual performer: dancer, singer, actor, and musician!

Piper began dancing when she was 3 and danced until she was 19, including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, and contemporary.

Piper learned to twist balloons from a Scholastic balloon twisting kit in Grade 2. Not only did she love it, she had quite the knack for imagining all sorts of creations. Her experience and expertise grew from there!

Piper loved Barney, Barbie, Disney, and Broadway when she was young. She began vocal training at the age of 9 and sang lead roles in her high school’s musical productions. To this day, some of her favourite songs include those from Barbie and Broadway productions!

In grade 6 Piper chose trombone as her instrument. Piper learned to play other instruments too, completing university classes in brass, wind, percussion, jazz, string, and guitar techniques, as well as classroom instruments, conducting, and choral teaching.

Throughout elementary and high school, Piper was in French immersion. She graduated from high school with a French/English bilingual high school diploma. She is studying to be a teacher for band and French now at the University of Saskatchewan and is well on her way with a Bachelor of Music Honours in Music Education. She is currently completing the last year of her sequential Education degree.
